Who We Are

We are a boutique online firm helping couples across British Columbia peacefully resolve the details of their separation.

Our Values

We focus on efficient & amicable separations. It’s what we do. In fact, we’ve helped nearly 1000 couples peacefully transition into a new stage of life.

We believe in respectful problem-solving & collaboration, and we know from experience that peaceful resolution is attainable for many, many families.

Instead of you each hiring your own divorce lawyer to negotiate for you, together you work with our neutral family mediator who helps you find solutions that will work for both of you.

We have empathy for the difficult path you’re navigating so we put ourselves in your shoes: we designed our offerings based on client priorities, including when we meet, how we structure our fees, and the overall flow of your Separation Agreement process.

We believe in innovation outside of the traditional family law box.

Nearly a decade ago, we were the 1st firm to provide flat fee mediation for Separation Agreements in British Columbia.

The old way of doing things doesn’t work for most families: it’s generally very expensive, slow, stressful, and worsens relationships even in relatively simple cases.

We think you deserve better.

A fundamental aspect of our innovation is ethical pricing as a means of harm reduction for families who are already experiencing the significant financial and emotional stress of separation.

In recent years, the model of flat fee mediation for Separation Agreements which we created has proliferated. Unfortunately though, many firms simply shifted their crushing family law fees into different packaging.

We deliberately keep our prices in a manageable range for families by having developed extremely efficient processes through nearly 1000 mediations; strategic use of technology; &

prioritizing the social benefit of passing on the associated savings to our clients. Ethical pricing is part of our contribution to the social good.

Our Founder/Mediator

I'm Christina Vinters, a Divorce Mediator/ Lawyer, Author of Pathways to Amicable Divorce, Host of the limited series Divorce Well Podcast, and Creator of the Model of Flat Fee Mediation for Separation Agreements in BC.

Through 15+ years of work as a Divorce Mediator and Family Law Lawyer (including nearly 1000 divorce mediations), I have extensive experience helping couples with most types of family situations, both preventing problems and resolving disagreements.

I have had the privilege of serving family law clients who required separation assistance structuring the division of net worth in the tens of millions of dollars as well as clients for whom the sole focus was coordinating the healthy co-parenting of their children.

I have seen the financial and emotional damage that divorce court can cause families and it is for this reason that I am dedicated to out-of-court resolution.

I believe that people deserve a way to peacefully and efficiently handle separation and divorce so that they can continue their lives in a functional way.
